Your registration license is valid for the major version you purchased (the major version is the first number of the version. i.e. Versions 6.1.0, 6.2.10 are all the same major version).

Upgrades to our products are free for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase regardless of major version updates. Upgrading during that period is usually as simple as downloading the newer version and installing it over the old. We do our best to preserve all of your configuration and registration information so you shouldn't lose it across an upgrade.

Upgrade licenses after the first three months will be available at a discounted price. In this context, a distinct product id defined as a unique major revision of our softwares.

It may, however, become necessary from time to time to counter piracy threats by changing our license key generation strategy. Unfortunately, these changes are not without impact to our registered users. As usual, the majority users must bear the consequesces of the actions of a few scoundrels who literally spend hundreds of hours reverse engineering our algorithms for no benefit to them other than the dubious distinction of having successfully done so.

These changes could impact you in the following ways:
1. If you lose your registration key, we will gladly try to replace it for you. We only keep registration key archives for a period of three yeas from the time of purchase. Beyond that we will not be able to retrieve your key. When the key is still available in our database, we will only be able to supply the key for the release you originally purchased. We do not, however, maintain archives of older installation executable for download so make sure you keep your install package backed up.
2. If you are upgrading, as you are fully entitled to, you may need to obtain new keys from us with each upgrade to a new release. This however is generally not the case, as we have only needed to change our key generation approach once in the last 10 years.

We will replace lost keys for up to two (2) years from the date of purchase. When requesting replacement of lost keys, please be sure to include some information included on your registration Email, such as your postal mailing address and/or your phone number. This is particulary important if your Email address has changed since we need to make sure no one tries to impersonate you.

Please make sure that you maintain adequate backup of the installation file you purchased and the corresponding license key. We offer only current versions for download and are unable to generate new keys for older major versions.
